Still room in the UW class

The first class of this year’s UW Writing for Children certificate program starts on Tuesday, Oct. 8 — and there are still several spots available. If you’ve dreamed of getting serious about your writing, this great program could be just what you need. Each year the class forms a strong bond as writers, and many former students are still meeting as critique partners years after receiving their certificates. The yearlong program provides in-depth lessons on the craft and market and provides a dedicated time to focus on your writing goals. Many students go on to become published writers, including winter-term instructor and editor Nina Hess, who’ll be teaching this year with Jolie Stekly teaching the first and third (Foundations and Capstone) courses.
